PHILADELPHIA -- After a weekend spent doing an "outstanding job" on the NFL draft, the Philadelphia Eagles' scouting staff was shaken up by three firings on Monday.

The Eagles fired director of college scouting Anthony Patch, director of pro personnel Rick Mueller and Southwest area scout Brad Obee, league sources confirmed to ESPN.

The firings were first reported by the Philadelphia Daily News.

Patch spent 11 years with the Eagles. Mueller has been with the Eagles for five years after serving as general manager of the New Orleans Saints. Obee was with the Eagles for five years.

The moves appear to be the results of previous changes in the Eagles' front-office structure. When coach Chip Kelly took over control of personnel decisions, he promoted Ed Marynowitz to run the scouting department. Marynowitz is now putting his own stamp on the personnel department.

Kelly said he thought the new arrangement worked smoothly in conducting its first draft.

"To start with, it was very orderly," Kelly said Saturday. "I think we spent a lot of time in the last whatever couple of months so that really we're not making decisions when you get to the draft -- the decisions have been made before.

"I think our scouting staff did a great job of slotting where we thought they were going to get picked. But I thought it was very organized. I thought Ed and his group did an outstanding job."

Marynowitz will look to add his own people to the mix. Kelly has made it clear that he hired Marynowitz to run the scouting department and will allow Marynowitz to do just that.
