Suspect sought in vandalism, theft in South Philadelphia

SOUTH PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Police are searching for a suspect wanted for vandalism and attempted theft in South Philadelphia last month.

The suspect was caught on surveillance around 4 a.m. casing several parked cars along the 1900 blocks of McKean Street and South 20th Street on September 30.

When he saw something in a car he wanted, police say the suspect broke the window.

However, he ran away empty handed when the vehicle's alarm went off.
