Crews battle heavy flames at home in Philadelphia's Spring Garden neighborhood

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia fire crews battled a large blaze on the roof of a Spring Garden home on Wednesday night.

The call came just before 10 p.m. for flames showing on the 2000 block of Green Street.

Videos posted on the Citizen App showed heavy smoke billowing from the residence.

Chopper 6 was overhead as firefighters knocked down the flames.

No injuries have been reported.

Officials said the blaze was placed under control around 10:41 p.m.

The cause remains under investigation.
