PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- A man died after he was shot while stealing a vehicle in Philadelphia's Frankford neighborhood, according to police.
The shots rang out around 3:08 p.m. Friday at Frankford Avenue and Pratt Street.
Police say a 29-year-old man left his car running while using the ATM. That's when the 48-year-old suspect jumped into the car and drove off.
The car owner shot the suspect in the head before he got away.
Police say the wounded man crashed the vehicle into another car at Pratt Street.
The Action Cam was on the scene as police cordoned off an area outside the Frankford Transportation Center.
The suspect was taken to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead.
No other injuries were reported.
Police are questioning the car owner who had a permit to carry.
