Man injured in propeller accident at New Castle County Airport

NEW CASTLE, Delaware (WPVI) -- A freak accident involving a single-engine plane sent a man from New Castle, Delaware to the hospital.

Officials say Andrew Lipsett was at New Castle County Airport around 9:30 a.m. Saturday.

As he attempted to hand crank the aircraft's propeller, the propeller hit him in the head.

He was taken to a local hospital.

There was no word on his condition.
