OVERBROOK PARK (WPVI) -- Philadelphia police say the same man is responsible for two sexual assaults on the Cobbs Creek Golf Course.

The most recent incident happened around 8 p.m. Friday, August 14th.

Police say the 39-year-old victim was cutting through the golf course when a man grabbed her and tried to remove her clothing. She fought back, but her attacker punched her in the face. She woke up under a bridge.

"At some point she came to and she was being sexually assaulted by this male before he fled the location," said Capt. John Darby of the Philadelphia Police Special Victims Unit.

The man fled in an unknown direction.

The previous attack happened around 3:30 a.m. on Saturday, July 11th.

Police say a 26-year-old woman was on her way to work, walking on Cardington Road toward the 69th Street Station. That's when her attacker grabbed her and dragged her onto the golf course where she was sexually assaulted, police said.

The male then fled north on Cardington Street towards Haverford Avenue.

The victims described their attacker as a Hispanic man in his mid 30s standing about 5'5" tall. He has short hair, is clean shaven and was wearing a white t-shirt in the first attack, and in the second he wore a red t-shirt with dark pants.
