Dump truck overturns on I-95 in Port Richmond

PORT RICHMOND (WPVI) -- A dump truck overturned on I-95 this morning, spilling debris all over the highway.

The accident happened around 9:00 a.m. on I-95 north at Bridge Street in Philadelphia's Port Richmond section.

The truck was carrying solid concrete, that spilled across the northbound lanes.

Traffic was backed up approaching the scene while crews worked to clear the truck and concrete from the road.

The highway has since reopened.

The driver of the truck, described as a man in his early 50's, was transported to Aria Health Torrsedale division in stable condition.
