CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- A home in East Camden was getting quite the makeover Tuesday.
A team of volunteers with PSE&G was installing a new solar-electric system, to this row-house on New street, at no cost to the family who lives here.
But it will save them hundreds of dollars on their electricity bill each year.
It's all part of a new national program to extend the benefits of solar energy to disadvantaged communities across the U.S.
9 other Camden homes will also be equipped with solar power, free of charge.
