Jason Dumas joined the Action News sports team in November of 2024. He began his career at ESPN where he worked as a production assistant. From there, Jason made stops as a sports anchor/reporter in Bismarck, North Dakota, Baton Rouge, Louisiana and as a Sports Director in Hagerstown, MD.

Most recently, Jason served as the Sports Director at KRON4 News in San Francisco, California where he had the privilege of covering the Golden State Warriors in two NBA finals and the San Francisco 49ers in two Super Bowls. The Warriors NBA championship in 2022 has been his favorite assignment to date.

Aside from his work at KRON4 News, Jason was a sports radio host at 95.7 the Game and a sideline reporter for the Santa Cruz Warriors.

Jason graduated from Syracuse University's S.I. Newhouse School of Public Communications in 2011. He hails from Haverford and is a proud graduate of Malvern Prep. His parents still live in the same home where he was raised. He is happy to come home and serve the city that helped shape him.

When he is not working, Jason enjoys spending time with his family & friends, finding new places to eat, and traveling. Preferably all at once! He is excited to cover Philadelphia's wide range of sports teams and tell the stories of young athletes across the Delaware Valley. If you see Jason around, please don't hesitate to say hello.
