Multi-vehicle crash on Pennsylvania Turnpike in Tredyffrin Township

TREDYFFRIN TWP., Pa. (WPVI) -- A multi-vehicle accident on the Pennsylvania Turnpike resulted in a major backup and a possible fuel leak.

The accident occurred around 11:00 a.m. Thursday on the turnpike between the Valley Forge Interchange and the Malvern Interchange in Tredyffrin Township.

The crash involved multiple vehicles including a tractor trailer.

Officials used sand to absorb any fuel leaks.

All westbound lanes in the area were blocked. Traffic was getting by on the shoulder.

There are reports of two minor injuries.
