Box truck crashes on icy road in Wilmington

WILMINGTON, Del. (WPVI) -- Delaware State Police say icy conditions caused a box truck to overturn in Wilmington.

It happened at 11:00 p.m. Tuesday in the 1000 block of South Heald Street.

A 24-foot box truck carrying newspapers overturned on an icy road.

Rescuers had to cut the driver from the wreckage.

He was taken to Christiana Hospital.

There was no immediate word on his condition.
