Missing 2-year-old Springettsbury Township girl found safe in Philadelphia, Amber Alert canceled
The little girl was inside the vehicle, but the 27-year-old suspect, identified as Maria McKenzie, was not.
PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- An Amber Alert out of York County, Pennsylvania was canceled Sunday evening after police found a child, who was believed to have been abducted, inside a car in Philadelphia.
The alert was issued for a 2-year-old girl who disappeared with a woman in the afternoon in Springettsbury Township.
The vehicle was found near Reach and Clearfield streets in the Kensington section of the city about three hours later.
The little girl was inside the vehicle, but the 27-year-old suspect, identified as Maria McKenzie, was not.
The child was taken to Saint Christopher's Hospital to be checked by doctors.
No further information has been released at this time.
