Even this day before Valentine's Day, you can get a dozen roses for $10 or less at any one of the 16 Produce Junction stores in our area.
If you can't find a Produce Junction nearby, look for a Genuardi's. They're selling a dozen roses for $19.99. Their "chop and drop" bouquets are already arranged, so that all you have to do is trim the stems and put them in a vase.
For a professional florist's look at a do-it-yourself price, Genuardi's floral manager Shawn Lathrop suggests adding other flowers or leaves to fill out your arrangement.
Other stores offering good deals on roses include Superfresh, where a dozen long-stem roses are selling for $15.99; Pathmark, where a dozen long-stem roses are selling for $25.99 arranged in a vase, and for $15.98 by themselves; Aldi, where a dozen roses are $16.99; and Target, where a dozen long-stems in a vase are $24.99.
