NEWARK, Del. (AP) - April 22, 2009
Officials said 55-year-old Garrett L. Van Wicklen of Seaford was
arrested Wednesday and released on $15,000 bond pending a
preliminary hearing on 10 counts of possessing child pornography.
Van Wicklen was an associate professor of bioresources
engineering at the university's Georgetown campus. He resigned
April 2 after UD officials confronted him about images found on his
office computer, which he had turned in for repairs to a university
computer technician.
The technician contacted police after noticing questionable
images.
