MIAMI (AP) - July 7, 2009 In the 10-page arrest affidavit for Tyler Hayes Weinman, police
said they tracked the 18-year-old's car electronically and traced
his cell phone before charging him with the crimes. The affidavit
was unsealed Monday, the same day Weinman was formally arraigned in
Miami-Dade County Circuit Court.
Weinman's attorney had already filed a written plea of not
guilty to charges of 19 counts each of animal cruelty and
improperly disposing of an animal body. Weinman also faces four
counts of burglary related to the cat deaths.
He did not attend Monday's hearing.
