But one local Mexican restaurant has moved the meal to late night and opened its doors to everyone.
On Thursdays, Xochitl serves its Staff Meal at deep discounts. Appetizers and margaritas cost about half what they do at other times. And the kitchen plays with ingredients to offer you exciting new tastes.
Chef Dionicio Jiminez offers a selection of sandwiches made on authentic fresh-baked bread. There's also a Mexican version of Latin America's traditional service: tuna stirred raw with citrus juice, which "cooks" it.
The bar fresh-suqeezes limes for the juice in every margarita served, providing authentic taste that doesn't interfere with the other ingredients.
