Officials with the Upper Merion School District notified parents this morning that a small electrical fire at the high school has forced the cancellation of classes for the day.
School staff are working to repair the electrical panel where the small fire started, but the work wasn't completed in time for classes to begin Thursday.
Administrators in Upper Merion expect to make an announcement later today about Friday's class schedule.
