A caller was ordering from a Southern California Pizza Hut when he overheard an armed robbery in progress.
Palm Springs police Officer Rhonda Long says the customer was on the phone while the suspect was demanding money.
The pizza patron called police.
Officer Long tells the Palm Springs Desert Sun the gunman was wearing a mask.
He took the money and ran.
Officers are still looking for the suspect.
