Marjorie Diehl-Armstrong is scheduled to be sentenced Monday morning for her involvement in the 2003 Erie bank robbery that left 46-year-old Brian Wells dead. She's expected to receive life plus 30 years in prison.
Prosecutors say Diehl-Armstrong and others plotted to strap a bomb to Wells' neck then sent him to commit the robbery. He was handcuffed after walking out of the bank with $8,702 and died when the device exploded as he awaited the arrival of a bomb squad.
Diehl-Armstrong maintained her innocence throughout the trial, claiming she was being framed.
