Part of Interstate 95 northbound in Bucks County was closed on Monday afternoon after a police chase ended on the highway.

The chase began after a woman driving a silver car struck another vehicle in the northbound lanes of I-95 and then took off.

Both Philadelphia Police and the Pa. State Police were soon pursuing the car.

The suspect led officers up I-95 to exit 40, then back down I-95 toward Philadelphia.

At least one state police vehicle was struck during the chase.

Eventually, officers were able to pin the woman's vehicle by the shoulder by Woodhaven Road in Bensalem around 1:40 p.m.

All traffic on I-95 was blocked for a short time at the conclusion of the chase while police took the woman into custody.

Most lanes were soon open again and traffic began getting by.
