Woman charged with killing boyfriend with car

GRAYS FERRY - November 27, 2011

Police say it happened in Grays Ferry early Sunday morning, after 30-year-old Keisha Jones got into a heated argument with 28-year-old Tyrone Taylor.

Police say Taylor and Jones were driving together in a 2002 Acura when they got into some kind of argument shortly before 2 a.m.

Taylor was driving. He stopped the car in the 2400 block of Morris Street, got out and began walking away.

That's when police say Jones told them she then slid over into the driver's seat, put the car in gear and struck him.

Upon arrival, officers observed Taylor pinned against a wall. They say Jones was standing next to him.

Jones identified herself as Taylor's girlfriend and told the officers that she struck him with the vehicle.

Medics were called to the scene and pronounced Taylor dead.

Jones is charged with murder, involuntary manslaughter, homicide by vehicle and related offenses.
