The measure known as "Jessica's Law" is now in the hands of Governor Chris Christie.
The bill is named for Jessica Rogers, a then-teenager from Hamilton, who was paralyzed from the chest down when an angry driver cut off the car she was in.
Under the law, a driver could be sentenced to as much as 5 years in jail and a $15,000 fine.
