It happened just after 10:00 p.m. Wednesday at 6th and Line streets.
One person, identified as 30-year-old Vincent Cannon, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The second victim was taken to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition.
Police were told that two men ran from the scene of the shooting before getting into a red vehicle with silver and red rims.
The Citizens Crime Commission is offering a $1,000 reward for information that leads to an arrest in this killing.
