A crackdown on underage drinking resulted in 61 citations on one night alone outside Citizens Bank Park, police say.

The crackdown by the Pennsylvania State Police Bureau of Liquor Enforcement happened Tuesday April 9th, during the Phillies vs. Mets game.

Plainclothes officers patrolled the parking lots surrounding the stadium from 4:00 p.m. to 9:00p.m.

They cited 59 minors between the ages of 18 and 20 for possessing or consuming alcohol.

Two juveniles under age 18 were also cited.

State police say the enforcement effort by both uniformed and plainclothes officers will continue throughout the baseball season.

The minimum drinking age in Pennsylvania is 21.
