But it doesn't necessaryily mean it's permanent. I can show you how to get rid of permanent markr stains.
The most important thing is to treat the stain as soon as possible…especially from clothing.
Hand sanitizer, non-oily hairspray and rubbing alcohol are all good ways to remove permanent marker from clothing.
Wet the stain with water and then blot it with a white cloth or paper towel dipped in hairspray hand sanitizer or the rubbing alcohol.
The color should lift to the cloth. For tougher stains you may have to repeat the process and then launder as usual.
For stains on walls or trimwork…mix some white toothpaste and baking soda on a white cloth… Lightly scrub the area in small circular motions…being careful only to lift the stain and not the paint.
For carpet stains…try white vinegar…just blot the area carefully until the stain lifts…
And for permanent marker on wood or plastic …use rubbing alcohol…just remember to scrub lightly so as not to remove any finish.
As with any stain remover…always test it in an inconspicious spot first... And... these aren't a fail prove method but their the best shot at getting rid of permanent marker.
