ARDMORE, Pa. -- A Jeep Cherokee SUV landed on cars parked at a dealership in Ardmore, Pa. on Tuesday morning.

The crash happened at approximately 9:00 a.m. at Ardmore Acura at 150 W. Lancaster Avenue.

Police say a 74-year-old woman accidentally hit the accelerator instead of the brakes after leaving the nearby Arrow Car Wash.

The Jeep collided into a guardrail and then went up onto the top of a snow embankment.

The SUV then launched off the snow embankment and landed on top of three vehicles parked in the Acura property.

"I saw her accelerate from here, at a high rate of speed, no stopping, no nothing and up in the air," said Acura employee Ryan Tepper. "I ran over and asked if she was alright, told her to stay in the car, and I called 911."

Firefighters arrived on the scene, stabilized the Jeep, and cut off a door to get the woman out.

The driver initially reported no injuries, but was taken to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center as a precaution.

She was last reported to be in stable condition, suffering from general soreness.

By early afternoon the Jeep was removed from its precarious perch.

Two of the hit cars are brand new, and the third is pre-owned. One of the new ones and the used car had already been sold.

An investigation into the wreck continues.
