Arrest made in Delaware City sex assault

DELAWARE CITY, Del. (WPVI) -- A New Castle County man is accused of raping a woman in Delaware City.

45-year-old Anthony Carter was arrested at the scene of the attack on Hamilton Street.

Police say he kicked open a bedroom door, and began raping a 23-year-old woman early Saturday morning.

Investigators say Carter also physically assaulted one of the victim's acquaintances who tried to intervene.

Carter is now behind bars facing a list of charges.
