Aspen Foods expands chicken recall over salmonella concerns

CHICAGO (WPVI) -- A Chicago-based company is recalling an additional 561,000 pounds of chicken that may be contaminated with salmonella.

In July 2015, Aspen Foods recalled nearly 2 million pounds of raw, frozen chicken products. The recall has been expanded to include products that were produced between August 25, 2015 and Sept. 17, 2015, with "best if used by" dates of August 23, 2016 to Dec. 15, 2016.

- Spartan
