Man found shot inside car on Route 42 dies

BELLMAWR, N.J. (WPVI) -- A man has died after being found shot and unconscious inside a vehicle in the southbound lanes of Route 42 in Runnemede, New Jersey.

It happened before 3 a.m. Saturday when police discovered the male in his 20s suffering from a gunshot wound to the back of his head. He had been shot several times.

Medics rushed him to Cooper University Hospital in critical condition, where he later died from his injuries.

Troopers are trying to determine who shot and killed the victim.
