Human remains found in Berks County identified

AMITY TWP. (WPVI) -- Authorities have identified the human remains discovered earlier this week in Berks County.

A person walking in Amity Township on Monday found skeletal remains along the Monocacy Creek.

On Friday the coroner confirmed that the remains belong to Robert Kosik.

The 65-year-old Vietnam War veteran had been missing since last spring when he disappeared from his Amity Township home.

The cause of death remains under investigation but it does not appear to be suspicious.
