Police: Berks Co. man on the run after shooting wife

READING, Pa. (WPVI) -- A search is underway for a man in Berks County who police say is armed and dangerous.

Reading police say Jose Castro repeatedly shot his wife in the chest last week.

According to police, Castro was recently evicted from the home after his wife got a Protection from Abuse order.

Police say Castro may be in possession of a dark purple Jeep Grand Cherokee with Pennsylvania registration JFX-1240.

There is no word on the current condition of Castro's wife.
