Police investigating 'suspicious' death in Holmesburg

HOLMESBURG (WPVI) -- Police are investigating the discovery of a body in the Holmesburg section of Philadelphia.

Officers were called to the 4900 block of Rhawn Street at 5:40 a.m. Friday.

They found a man believed to be in his 50s lying unresponsive next to a building.

He was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police did not find any weapons nearby, but have labelled the death suspicious.

Forensic investigators are working to determine how he died.
