CAMDEN, N.J. (WPVI) -- Crews in Camden had their hands full helping to rescue people who got stuck while driving down flooded roadways.

It happened Wednesday night on Kaign Avenue near Mt. Ephraim Avenue.

Rescue crews were working to free a driver of a Honda Civic when a Chevy Trailblazer also got stuck in the water.

The driver of the Chevy was able to get out but his girlfriend was stuck.

Rescuers used a boat to pull the woman from the flooded vehicle.

The driver of the Honda was later able to get out and waded through the water to safety.

Motorists are warned to avoid the area and when coming upon a flooded roadway, authorities always urge that you turn around.
