Child injured in hit and run in Allentown

ALLENTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Police in Lehigh County are investigating a hit and run that injured a child.

Surveillance video from a nearby business shows paramedics loading the 10-year-old girl into an ambulance.

The incident happened around 8 a.m. in the 1600 block of Hanover Avenue as the girl was walking near Ritter Elementary School.

Investigators say the driver hit the child and then drove off. The little girl was rushed to the hospital but, doctors are not commenting on her condition.
