Coast Guard officials rescued four people and a dog from the Delaware River after their canoe flipped over in Gloucester County.

NATIONAL PARK, N.J. (WPVI) -- Coast Guard officials rescued four people and a dog from the Delaware River after their canoe flipped over in Gloucester County.

It happened just after 4:30 p.m. Thursday near Beach Hill Road in National Park, New Jersey.

Officials say the occupants were able to get to a small island and await rescue.

All are expected to be OK.
