Man hospitalized after wall collapse in Southwest Philadelphia

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Fire officials say a man is hospitalized after a wall collapsed on him in Southwest Philadelphia.

It happened before 9:30 a.m. Monday inside a home in the 5600 block of Whitby Avenue.

Initial reports indicated an interior wall collapse on the man.

Medics took him to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center with stable vital signs.

There was no immediate word what caused the collapse.
