CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Philadelphia's latest place to shop, dine, live and work officially opened Thursday in Center City with a block party celebration.
East Market encompasses an entire city block, from Market to Chestnut and 11th to 12th streets.
Mayor Jim Kenney was there for a ribbon-cutting ceremony.
Then retailers - including Iron Hill Brewery, Wawa, and Federal Donuts - offered free food and drinks.
