Philadelphia welcomes 62 new firefighters

PHILADELPHIA (WPVI) -- Philadelphia now has 62 new firefighters ready to protect and serve.

Firefighter Cadet Class 195 graduated Thursday morning.

Fire Commissioner Adam Thiel says the cadets persevered through nine months of training.

Mayor Jim Kenney also commended the graduates during the ceremony at the Community College of Philadelphia in Spring Garden.
