FAIRMOUNT (WPVI) -- This was a perfect day celebrate a new place to cool off in Philadelphia.

Council President Darrell Clarke and city officials joined residents here in the Fairmount neighborhood to cut the ribbon on the new Von Colln Playground.

The newly renovated play space at 22nd and Pennsylvania is home to a sprayground, batting cages, pitching mounds, and extensive play equipment.

The project also features new bathrooms, new lighting and sidewalks.
