HOUSTON (WPVI) -- Tails are wagging everywhere for these cool state-of-the art doghouses. They are part of the 7th annual Barkitecture Houston event that celebrates the creativity of Houston's top artists, designers and architecture firms.
These custom-built doghouses went on display this past weekend at the Esperson Art Gallery at GreenStreet Downtown.
"Houston's most talented architects across the city compete for bragging rights, of winning Best In Show. So it's a lot of fun," said Diane Caplan Co-Chair. "It's very fitting the doghouses are showcased at an Art Gallery this year, because they are truly works of art."
What's even cooler is each puppy paradise, pays it forward. They are auctioned off to the public, with all funds raised going to Pup Squad Animal Rescue, an organization that rescues orphaned puppies and matches them with permanent adoptive homes.
The houses usually go anywhere from $200 to over $2,000 each.
