MANSFIELD TWP., N.J. (WPVI) -- A motorist is hospitalized after a crash on I-295 in Burlington County.
It happened in the northbound lanes at 6:30 a.m. Tuesday in Mansfield Township.
Police tell Action News the driver lost control and crashed in a wooded area near the Florence/Columbus exit.
Images from Chopper 6 HD showed a tree lying on top of the vehicle.
The driver was airlifted to an area hospital. There was no immediate word on that person's condition.
All northbound lanes of I-295 were blocked as medics worked to free the driver.
One lane was still shut down more than an hour and a half after the crash.
Traffic was backed up for more than a mile approaching the scene.
