Crime Fighters: $5,000 reward offered in vandalism on Drexel University campus

An historic building has become a repeated target for vandals.

Drexel University police hope video released to the public will help track down the culprits.

"We have video of two young men walking past the building and tagging it," said Drexel University Chief of Police Eileen Behr.

Officials believe the men seen in the video are responsible for repeated vandalism of a building located on the 1200 block of Chestnut Street.

"Several times since April the building has been graffitied, tagged," said Behr.

The most recent incident happened on June 7 just before 3 a.m.

"They are two white males, maybe in their early to mid-20s, dark hair. One subject has a tattoo on his right forearm that looks it could be a rifle or some type of gun. It's very distinctive on his right arm," said Behr.

The Citizens Crime Commission is administering a $5,000 reward for information that leads to the arrest and conviction of the person responsible.

"They're renovating the building to use for classrooms, and to build a child advocacy center for the university and the community," said Behr.
