Deadly shooting in KFC parking lot in Newark, Delaware

NEWARK, Del. (WPVI) -- Police say a 20-year-old man was shot and later died after someone opened fire in the parking lot of a Kentucky Fried Chicken in Newark, Delaware on Thursday.

The shooting happened shortly after 6:00 p.m. on the 1300 block of Marrows and Ogletown Roads.

Police arrived to find the victim on the ground.

He had been shot several times.

They rushed him to the hospital, but he died a short time later.

Police say witnesses saw two cars speed away right after the shooting.

They're still trying to track those cars down.
