2 arrested for shooting of boy, 15, in New Castle County

NEW CASTLE CO., Del. (WPVI) -- Two people have been charged with the shooting of a 15-year-old boy in New Castle County, Delaware.

Takeerah Britton, 27, and Anshawn Griffon, 24, are now in custody.

The shooting happened around 9:30 p.m. in the unit block of Highland Blvd in the community of Burn Brae.

That's where the 15-year-old was found with multiple gunshot wounds. He was last reported to be in critical condition.

There was no word on a motive for the shooting.

Griffon is charged with first-degree assault, second-degree conspiracy and firearms offenses. He is being held on $111,000 cash-only bail.

Britton was charged with first-degree assault and second-degree conspiracy. She is being held on $21,000 secured bail.
