EDDYSTONE, Pa. (WPVI) -- Two men had to be rescued after their water crafts broke down, forcing them to spend the night on an island in the middle of the Delaware River.
Chopper 6 HD was over the water as officials towed two wave runners back to shore.
Police say a man was in the water on Monday night but had mechanical problems.
He called a friend for help, but that man's wave runner broke down too.
The two men spent the night on Chester Island.
On Tuesday morning, one of the men put on a life jack and swam to Penn Terminal to get help.
Both men made it safely back to shore and were unharmed.
