Donald Trump reacts to Dallas attack

NEW YORK (WPVI) -- Presumptive Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump issued a recorded message about the violence this week.

He said he met with Dallas police officers several weeks ago, and that they were on his mind Friday.

He also said this: "A brutal attack on a police force is an attack on our country, and an attack on our families. We must stand in solidarity with law enforcement, which we must remember is the force between civilization and total chaos.

"Our children deserve a better future than what we're making them live through today."
