Fire forces evacuation of Doylestown nursing home

DOYLESTOWN, Pa. (WPVI) -- Smoke from a fire forced the evacuation of a nursing home in Doylestown, Bucks County.

It happened around 8:10 p.m. Monday at the Briarlleaf Nursing Home on the 200 block of Belmont Avenue.

Authorities say a fire broke out in the elevator moto.

The flames were extinguished but the smoke forced firefighters to evacuate the building.

Fortunately no one was injured.

No word what caused the fire.
