Police identify transgender woman stabbed to death in Frankford

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Philadelphia Police have identified a transgender woman stabbed to death in the Frankford section of Philadelphia late Saturday night.

Investigators say 25-year-old Mya Young was found at 11:50 p.m. Saturday.

She had been stabbed multiple times in the 4800 block of Penn Street.

Police took her to Aria Health/Frankford, where she was pronounced dead at 12:21 a.m. Sunday.

There is a $20,000 reward for information leading to an arrest and conviction in all homicide investigations.
