It happened at 3:30am Friday near the intersection of 15th Street and JFK Boulevard in Center City Philadelphia.

CENTER CITY (WPVI) -- Pressure from an underground transformer fire blew the covers off several manholes in Center City Philadelphia early Friday.

It happened at 3:30 a.m. near 15th Street and JFK Boulevard.

No one was injured, and there were no immediate reports of power outages in the area.

Firefighters and PECO repair crews responded to the scene.

The incident forced lane closures along 15th Street between JFK Boulevard and Market Street for several hours as crews made repairs.
