Firefighters battle Frankford house fire

FRANKFORD (WPVI) -- Philadelphia firefighters battled a house fire in the Frankford section of the city.

The fire broke out around 3:55 p.m. Wednesday on the 4900 block of Penn Street near Harrison.

Chopper 6 HD over the scene showed flames and smoke engulfing the front porch of the house.

Fireifghters climbed to the roof to help contain the blaze.

The fire was placed under control at 4:15 p.m.

No injuries were reported.
